The story of the AHS Class of 1956 begins with the elementary school years. On the right is a photo likely snapped at Mary Lou Clearwater’s birthday party in the fall of 1945. From left to right: William R. Howell, George Acker, Mary Lou Clearwater (RHS ’56), Brenda Senior, and Kate Shaddock, whose father was a visiting professor at Vassar College.
