Jim & Barbara (Dexter) Moffat standing outside
their 35-foot motor home in Tucson, AZ

In 1993 we were tired of being responsible adults. We sold our home of 29 years and 99% of our “stuff.” We bought a 32-foot motor home and hit the road with the blessings of our two sons. We have visited 48 states in the past 11 1/2 years.

We do work every now and then in camp grounds, dude ranches, and RV resorts, and even volunteered at a wildlife refugee in Ridgefield, WA. Barbara usually works in the registration office and Jim has done everything from operating construction equipment to taking care of the dudes on horseback rides. We have “worked” in Maine, Wyoming, Colorado, Washington and now here in Tucson, AZ. We have spent the last 7 winter seasons at the Voyager RV Resort here in Tucson and really like the area—especially when we see the snow back east!!

We are now on our third motor home—it is 35 feet and has two slideouts and plenty of space for us. We are usually outside anyway! We tow a Jeep behind the motor home and love to do the 4X4 “roads.” We’re leaving here in two weeks and plan to spend a month in California visiting some National Parks that we missed the last time we were there. This is a GREAT lifestyle and we are fortunate in the fact we both enjoy it.

We have been together for 43 years, so you can be sure we are compatible. We also have a cat who travels with us and he enjoys a new “back yard” every time we pull over.

If anyone is ever in the Tucson area, check in at the Voyager Inn here at our resort. You can visit the resort website at www.voyagerrv.com. We would love to see you and hope to catch up with everyone at the 50th!!
