ROBERT J. ELMENDORF – 2000 Robert J. Elmendorf, 62, of Highland, died Friday, Mar. 3, 2000 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston. Mr. Elmendorf was a City of Poughkeepsie Retired Firefighter. He was a 28-year Highland resident, formerly of Poughkeepsie. He was a lifetime member of the Poughkeepsie YMCA and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Born Nov. 1, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Harry Elmendorf and Madeline Elmendorf. He married Sharyn Real, Apr. 8, 1962, in St. Peters Church.
