Mrs. Bishop was a resident of Coquina Crossing in Elkton, FL for the past two years. She was born December 30, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Mildred Halstead Woodin and William James Woodin, Sr. Mrs. Bishop was a homemaker for many years and then was employed by the Arlington Central School District for 21 years in the cafeterias of area schools. She graduated from the Hudson Valley School of Beauty and Culture in Newburgh, NY. She married Charles Bishop in 1957 in Poughkeepsie.
